New Shooter / Youth Shooter Program

The Casper Skeet, Trap & Sporting Clays club will be holding a 6 week program for New and Youth shooters starting in June. The structure and intent of the program is to expose and educate new and youth shooters to the sport of Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays shooting, proper shooting form, Firearm safety and general rules commonly found on the range.

This is an excellent no-cost opportunity to learn about the shotgun sports, learn to shoot better and hit more targets and its FREE!

Anyone who is interested in learning about shotguns and shooting is encouraged to attend, there is no age or experience limits, we do ask that if more experienced shooter wish
to participate, that they make a donation toward the program. White Flyer has donated the targets for this program, the club and its members are donating their time, experience and expertise to give you this wonderful opportunity.

We will go through basic Firearm Safety, Range Safety and Rules, specific items of interest concerning shotguns and ammunition. Then we will go out onto the trap range and
begin shooting and getting everyone comfortable and hitting targets. As the shooters progress, we will also shoot some skeet targets and sporting clays targets.

There is no cost to this program, other than the shooters are required to provide their own ammunition. The club has 20 gauge shotguns available to use at no charge, but again you will need to provide ammunition.

Items you will need:

Eye Protection ( the club has some safety glasses availabe )
Ear Protection ( again the club has ear plugs for sale )
1 to 2 boxes of Ammunition for proper Gauge of Shotgun per session
Shot size must be 7.5, 8 or 9 shot, recommend purchasing the "Target" version of ammunition

Club has available for use:

3- 20 gauge semi-automatic shotguns
2- 20 gauge pump shotguns
Safety glasses ( limited quantity )
Ear Plugs ( .50 per pair )
